Victoria Market 

Sir Selwyn Clarke Market is a major attraction in our capital Victoria. Open Mondays to Fridays from 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. the market offers souvenirs, fresh fruits and fresh local fish . Located 15-20 minutes away by car / 30-45 minutes by public bus. 

Bazar Labrin 

This local market takes place by the most famous beach on the island, the Beau-Vallon Beach, every Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until late evening. Listen to local sega music and drum-beating as you delight yourselves in local delicacies such as banana chips, breadfruit, barbecues, crepes etc. Located 45 minutes away by car / 1 hour away by public bus. 

La Plaine St. Andre 

Traditional Rum Distillery and Restaurant, located 5 minutes away by car. 

Anse Royale Beach 

Located 10 minutes away by car, Anse Royale beach is perfect for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing. It is also close to restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. 

Mission Ruins and Tea Plantations 

Ruins of the habitat of Capucin Priests, this place offers an excellent 180 view of the sea and neighbouring islands. Drive through the tea plantations of Sans Soucis on your way to the ruins, and stop by the Tea Factory on the way downhill. 

Jardin Du Roi (Spice Gardens) 

Local garden dating back to the first colonists on the island - see fruits bats, rabbits, tortoises and parrots. The gardens also have a small restaurant which serves hot pancakes, freshly-squeezed local juices and a hearty creole menu. 

Outer Islands 

Visit Praslin (home to the world's largest nut) and La Digue (home to bicycle riders and ox-carts).
